Nicky Oates

Nicky has 30 years’ corporate experience. After achieving senior roles in operations and finance, Nicky transitioned into project management where she led some significant change programs for BP’s downstream business including the development and implementation of a number of career development frameworks including those for finance, technology and manufacturing operations. These played a key role in supporting individuals to take control of their careers and personal development. She also led a program to identify the critical skills required for line management and provided a targeted approach to developing new and experienced leaders.

Her rare combination of experiences and skills enable her to successfully partner with executives to identify and deliver strategies to build organisational capability which include ensuring the right skills and talent pipeline for today and the future.

Her pro bono experiences include the Samaritans and she currently serves as a magistrate in the family court. Nicky has a BA Hons degree in management from Loughborough University and a diploma in marketing.
